It's that time of year! People are debating about if daylight savings is a valid idea, the birds are singing and the flowers are blooming!
This past weekend was the Sakura (cherry) Blossom festival in Balboa park. Balboa park in San Diego is a wonderful beautiful and big park with many different areas to explore, including museums, parks, stages and gardens. The Japanese Friendship garden in Balboa park is a hidden gem, koi fish await your visit as you make you way down the hillside of winding trails through the plants and over streams.
During this time of year the Cherry Blossoms bloom and create a sight many come to marvel at in the park. And this year San Diego received quite a bit of rain so the flowers are in full bloom and more vibrant than ever!
The park also has a tea garden you can take a break in and sit down to gaze upon the the hillside dotted with pink blossoms.
Just because the festival is over doesn't mean the flowers have stopped blooming, so go grab your camera or your phone and head down to Balboa park with a friend and go to the Japanese Friendship garden to take pictures have tea and maybe even take some selfies.
